For the last two years we’ve strongly encouraged clients to stay up to date on press releases so that we can use that content for various purposes. We often take snippets of press releases and multi-purpose them for other content fulfillment. With Google Panda’s latest update this process is no longer strongly suggested but, required to stay competitive in today’s search world.

The latest version of Google’s Panda update tends to give an advantage to websites that offer two types of content.

  1. Unique content
  2. Value added content

While it is important to offer unique content and become an “authority” in your business vertical, it is equally important to make that content valuable. Don’t just throw together content for the sake of throwing together content. Think of Wikipedia. The only thing on Wikipedia is legitimate content. Article text is moderated for validity and there’s no fluff.
